The Belonging Forum works with partners in disability rights, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, multidimensional poverty, education, global health, and other priorities that underlie the global movement for belonging.  In addition to the major institutional partners described below, Belonging Forum sponsors Samuel Fellows to conduct research and advocacy at 29 additional organizations. Belonging Forum’s programming has also resulted in the emergence of new organizations, including the Grandmother Collective, a Boston-based global NGO which supports grandmothers as a force for social and environmental transformation.

Partners in Health 

Partners In Health’s mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. The organization works in close partnership with local government officials and the world’s leading medical and academic institutions to build capacity and strengthen health systems. 

The Misipawistik Cree Nation 

The Misipawistik Cree Nation, located in northern Manitoba, runs the Misipawistik Pimatisimēskanaw Program, which offers culturally relevant teachings to help students reconnect with their culture, rebuild connections to their ancestral land, live healthy lives, and advance their education.

Data-Driven Lab 

Data-Driven Lab builds solutions to environmental challenges using cutting-edge data analytics. In December 2018, DDL launched the Urban Environment and Social Inclusion Index, which leverages high-resolution, large-scale data to analyze the performance of cities at the intersection of environment and social equity.

Médecins Sans Frontières Urban Spaces 

An initiative of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, MSF Urban Spaces welcomes and integrates migrants in six cities around the world: Montreal, Mexico City, Johannesburg, Athens, Turin, and Istanbul.

Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative 

The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) is an economic research and policy centre within the Oxford Department of International Development at the University of Oxford. OPHI aims to build and advance a more systematic methodological and economic framework for reducing multidimensional poverty, grounded in people’s experiences and values.
